Cherokee Elementary School is located on the Qualla Boundary and is close to the boundries of the Great Smokey Mountains National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Students and teachers enjoy many unique opportunities to learn about their mountain environment as well as opportunities to work toward the preservation of the history and culture of the Cherokee Indians.

Cherokee Elementary School is accredited by the state of North Carolina and also follows the mandates of the Office of Indian Education.
